Historical Notes
By World War II, every modern army had specialized units of combat engineers. These highly trained soldiers would not only fight the enemy, but would also undertake a variety of field engineering tasks, such as building bridges, removing minefields, and setting demolition charges to destroy enemy installations.
The Soviet engineers in this kit include one engineer using a hatchet to construct wooden fortifications, two engineers equipped with metal detectors, and one engineer carrying supplies.
This kit also includes eight fieldwork pieces designed for use with the Art of Tactic WWII game.
