Junkers F.13 Sea/Land plane
The F.13 was one of the milestones in the history of aircraft construction: the first all-metal commercial aircraft in the world. After its maiden flight on 25th July 1919 it had a decisive influence on the development of world-wide air travel. With an enclosed passenger cabin to accommodate up to 4 passengers, internal lighting and a heating system, the F.13 was pure luxury. Its reputation was founded on numerous world records, including a 26-hour non-stop flight. The machine was also a real export bestseller, particularly in the USA. A total of 322 F.13 were built in various versions and some were still in use in the late 1940s.
