Giant 8" Mirror. With a large 206mm (8 inch) primary mirror and a 1000mm focal length, this reflector telescope rates at an awesome f/4.8. That means this reflector telescope is ideal for backyard astronomy and is a great introductory telescope if you are serious about learning all about astronomy. Motorized Dual Axis EQ Mount & Tripod Included. This telescope comes with heavy-duty dual axis motorized equatorial mount that gives you total control over your 8 inch telescope. Rock solid stable, it allows you track any object in the night sky with ease. Our dual axis motorized EQ Mount comes with its own steel tripod. With both Right Ascension and Declination motor controls, you can track any object in the night sky with a touch of a button. To make your polar alignment easy, the mount has a built-in polar alignment scope, just look through it and aim at the North Star. Plus, the RA controls can be set for either the Northern or Southern Hemisphere.
Great Eyepieces & Accessories. This telescope comes with 3 Plossl eyepieces with storage containers, and a Barlow 2x lens. Your telescope also comes with a dust-free cleaning cloth, a great map of the surface of the moon and a moon filter designed for reducing moon glare and making surface details more clear, and a poster of the solar system. The star finder scope is massive too. At 8x21, it is the largest finder scope we offer and makes stargazing that much easier.
