1/144 A-10A Thunderbolt II (Twin Pack)

The two aircraft included in the set are beautifully finished and come dressed in striking painting and marking schemes. One represents an A-10A of the 118th FS from the 23rd FW, done up in markings for the squadron's 80th anniversary. The second is a Warthog from the 23rd Fighter Group, with its nose painted to portray a deadly shark.

These model aircraft are highly detailed and include brand new decal markings. There are also brand NEW injection-molded parts representing GBU-32 and CBU-97 cluster bombs. Moreover, they have other weapons like Sidewinder, GBU-12 and GBU-10 as well.

About the A-10A Thunderbolt II:

Its first production version flying in October 1975, the Fairchild-Republic A-10 Thunderbolt II is primarily a Close Air Support (CAS) aircraft used for attacking ground targets. It was distinctive in being the first USAF aircraft to be designed specifically for the CAS role. Its primary weapon is the 30mm GAU-8/A Avenger Gatling gun, which fires depleted uranium shells at a rate of up to 3,900 rounds per minute. The A-10 is more commonly referred to as the Warthog, or simply Hog.
