About the F-117A Nighthawk:

The F-117A Nighthawk was the world’s first ever operational stealth aircraft. Actually similar in size to an F-15, it is designed for precision strikes conducted at near-supersonic speeds with laser-guided munitions. This revolutionary aircraft has seen combat in the Gulf War, Yugoslavia, and latterly in Operation Iraqi Freedom, with the 55 F-117As of the now 49th Fighter Wing based at Hollomon AFB in New Mexico. The single-seat aircraft was first test flown in 1981, with deliveries occurring between 1982 and 1990.
