1:35 UH1H HEER (GERMAN ARMY)
by DML (Dragon Models LTD)

Hot on the heels (or should that be tail rotor blades?) of Dragon’s 1/35 scale UH-1D Huey, another model helicopter version has been announced. It is a 1/35 scale UH-1H of the German Heer (Army). As before, this kit is packed with exciting detail and components, including photo-etched parts to upgrade both the interior and exterior. Some of these photo-etched pieces are even pre-painted for extra modeling convenience. The cabin doors can be modeled open or closed, allowing all the spectacular interior detail to be displayed. A special piece of equipment installed in the cabin is a rescue hoist, which is replicated in a detailed resin casting. As a special bonus, this German helicopter from Dragon comes with a set of four German paratrooper figures. These action figures create instant diorama possibilities as this elite unit springs into action!

Features

  • New rescue hoist is a resin part
  • New Photo-etched part for antenna
  • Bonus German Paratroopers
  • Pre-painted photo-etched parts for cabin interior
  • Cabin doors can be assembled open/closed
  • Clear plastic parts with detail for windshield and doors
  • New photo-etched parts to upgrade details
  • New Cartograf decals

About the UH-1H

Perhaps most famous for its use in the Vietnam War, the UH-1 Iroquois helicopter was first used by the U.S. military in 1959. The final Huey helicopters were completed in 1976 after production figures reached 16,000. The UH-1H was an improved version of the UH-1D, sharing the same 1400shp T53-L-13 engine as the UH-1C. One nation that still extensively uses the UH-1H is Germany, where a total of 352 UH-1H helicopters were built under license by Dornier in West Germany for the air force and army.
