Sunday! Sunday! Sunday!

Details:

1) Set up Saturday Night, March 6th starting at 6PM.  We need a few volunteers to help us setup. If we get done early, you can get some track time in before we leave Saturday night.

2) Race event Sunday March 7th.  We start at 12 noon, first race starts at 1PM or sooner if enough people show up with cars that qualify for an event.  We ask ALL race participants to contribute at least $3.00 towards track upgrades and maintenance.   We need volunteers to stay at the end to help take the track down.  If you are going to race it is expected of everyone to help set up or break down the track-or both if you are so inclined.  This way it's fair for everyone.

3) This will be a 6 lane Scalextric Track Event with RMS Computer Lap Recording System in Place. We are going to possibly mix it up with some different styles of racing- depends if enough people show up.  We are looking at doing an elimination type of race-if your car leaves the track, it would have to be upright, and in such a position that it could be driven back onto the track by the driver with no assistance-as in a real race, if not, you are out of the race-just like the real thing.  We want to try some new things and also we are open to suggestions on ideas you may have on a race you’d like to see-please write it down or email it to me.  We also want to do a team relay race for a long duration, with teams and pit crews and driver changes with a race somewhere in the neighborhood of 40 to 50 laps or more; but we need a pretty good size crowd to do this-so this may have to wait for awhile.

Classes that will be raced:

1)       Lemans Current

2)       Lemans Past

3)       Endurance Racing, including GT series

4)       Indy Cars

5)       F1 cars

You must have one of these types of cars to race in these events-we will not be making exceptions on these races as we want it to be fair that everyone across the board is racing a similar car
