My name is Erik and I work a couple of days a week in our Rockville and Laurel stores. I have worked for Hobby Works for over a year now and I have been placed in charge of the "Military Models" section of our stores. I mainly model 1:35 scale armor, but all scales of military modeling interest me. As a way to inform our customers about new and exciting products and developments, I will be bringing new products and techniques to your attention on a monthly or bi-monthly basis, as time allows.

We at Hobby Works and I have talked at length about trying to bring some new model brands into the stores. To that end, we are going to try and carry some of the more obscure brands out there. We are also trying to bring in some of the more unique models from Italeri, Tamiya, and Revell. With our extensive contacts in the hobby market we are going to do our best to be your one-stop shop for all of your modeling needs. If you find something elsewhere and you don't see it in our stores, don't hesitate to bring it to our attention to see if we can get it for you.

New to our stores in February is the Land-Wasser-Schlepper from Hobby Boss in 1:35 scale. With this new arrival, and for a limited time, we have decided to offer it with a FREE DETAIL SET of battle flags in 1:35 & 1:72 scales from True Details. This model kit is $30 less expensive than the one offered by Bronco and with the FREE battle flags, it's truly a steal! This kit also comes with photo-etch parts, window masks, and cabin interior detail. If you so choose, there are resin detail kits for this model available as well. We also have a RPM model coming in for inspection. If the quality is there and I get more requests for this brand of model, we may start to carry items from this brand on a consistent basis.
